The Julian Prealps Nature Park Authority is the managing body of the Julian Prealps Nature Park. It is based in Resia (Udine), Friuli Venezia Giulia, and was established in 1996, in the same year the protected area was created.

The goals of the Park are:

• to preserve and valorise environment, biodiversity, cultural heritage and local tradition;
• to promote the social, economic and cultural development of local communities, through innovative pilot projects;
• to strengthen attention to nature, especially among young generations, supporting environmental education, information and scientific research.
